» Celtic finally get their Man

Delighted at getting his chance in the Hoops

After years and years of endless speculation and rumours, Robbie Keane has signed for Celtic. The deal was signed earlier today and will see Robbie join the Hoops on a loan deal that will last until the end of the season however Celtic Chief Executive, Peter Lawwell, has already said that the deal may become permanent come the Summer.

The deal makes sure that Keane gets his wish of playing for his bhoyhood heroes having previously stated "I'm a Celtic fan, and I have said that one day I would like to play for them." Celtic supporters flocked to Parkhead as soon as the deal was confirmed in order to catch a glimpse of the Irishman and the signing ensures that the apathy prevalent amongst the support has now come to an end and attendances are now sure to rise. The support now also believes that this signing will give the whole club a real boost in our attempts to win the league.

The deadline day was a busy one for Celtic as more players came in and out of the club. Those incoming were the full back Edson Braafheid from Bayern Munich and the striker Diomansy Kamara from Fulham. Both players have joined on loan until the end of the season and are also joined by Scottish youngster Paul Slane who has arrived from Motherwell. Meanwhile Scott McDonald has left the club to join Middlesborough. The little Aussie was a proven goalscorer for the club and moves on to join up with Ex-Celtic manager, Gordon Strachan.

We wish all the players that have left the club in the past month all the best and hope that our new signings can fire us onto glory. One thing that is certain is that these new signings will give the support a greater confidence in our fight to win back the title.

Hail Hail!
