What a wanker!
"Okay. That's it. It’s over. Finished. Done and dusted.
Scottish clubs should play in the Premier League? Are you barking mad?
You only had to be at Parkhead on Tuesday night to see what the Old F**m could bring to football south of Hadrian’s Wall - and why the prospect is further away than ever before.
Until 7.45pm, the game had everything you would want. A raucous, invigorating atmosphere, a sense of tension, with the Arsenal players emerging to confront a wall of sound that almost knocked them off their feet.
Then the match began. And reality intruded.
Admittedly, Arsenal are a class act but while both the Gunners’ goals owed more than an element to good fortune, the sheer extent of the chasm in quality was both stark and sobering.
The longer the game went on, the greater the difference, which made the likelihood that Celtic will finish 30 points clear of the third team north of the border even more of a worry for the future of Scottish football.
Why do we get this constant talk of R*ngers and Celtic migrating? Money, of course.
The two big fish have had enough of fighting for mastery in a very small pond and want a share of the multi-millions on offer in England.
But such was the paucity of talent in Tony Mowbray’s side that not a single one of them looked good enough to compete with the sheer physicality, pace and stamina that are the first requirements to survive in the Premier League.
Sure, the prospect of 60,000 sell-outs at Celtic Park every other week, with 50,000 or so at Ibrox on the alternate weekends, would get Sky and Co salivating. The support bases at both clubs are huge and the potential is there.
The problem, though, is that this Celtic side, certain to be in the top two by the end of the season, would struggle to stay clear of relegation if they were transplanted into England now. And R*ngers are much of a muchness, too.
Aside from the question of how you would shoehorn in two teams who have not earned their right to play by promotion - and FIFA’S not inconsiderable unhappiness at the idea of cross-border domestic competition - bringing in Celtic and R*ngers would weaken, not strengthen, the Premier League, certainly initially.
The spectacle and occasion were great on Tuesday night. But the game was an anti-climax. As it would be week after week.
Sorry, chaps, stick with Killie and the Bairns and fight your little local battle four times a season.
Nice to see you now and then. Don’t want to make a regular thing of it, though. They made bear-baiting illegal for a reason, don’t you know"

I guess after the manner which they lost to Arsenal, Everton are now a pishy SPL club playing in the EPL![]()

We put on a much better display than everton, who came fifth last year.
Remember that these clubs have near to hundreds of millions more to spend than us and we start to look like a club that could do well given the same financial advantage which clubs like arsenal and even everton.
We play against these clubs with pride, dedication, and give every game against these so called bigger teams a proper footballing fight.
Adding our club to tat league will only increase the more entertaining games on offer to their league.
what a fucking arsehole! Does the guy forget that Celtic have one of the biggest fan bases in the world?! The money Celtic (and rankers unfortunately) would get thrown at them in the EPL would be guaranteeing we would be in a top 3 finish every season!
Funny as fuck if that's true rk btw about the macavennie plundering his missus!
Cheers Cash67
he knows nothing about football. obviously
Money is the only thing that makes those teams in EPL. For that reason, any team could play there.

BTW he can thank Sky, billionaire Owners & Foreign superstars or the EPL would just be a more populated version of the SPL.
IMO, it'd take about 10 years for us to be constantly challenging the top 4.
They're always going to be richer than us, always going to be able to attract better players.
Even teams like Spurs will be able to attract better players than us, so I really don't think the huge fan base thing comes into play, because until we're in that league for years and years, we simply won't have the money to compete with these teams.
Anybody who thinks we'd go down there and split the big 4 up is seriously deluded.
Slow day in the news then.

All hail the Sorcerer of Yokohama!!
It's all about money. I reckon if we were to be put into the EPL we would attract big names as we, Celtic are a big name in the football world.
