I agree Max Raptor. A fit Brown is a great SPL midfielder. We need a Nakamura type beside him though as well as Crosas. N'Guemo is a poor mans Brown so far but could learn i suppose.

    gives the ball away constantly,
    easily shrugged off the ball,
    cant shoot
    cant pass

If you convert that into a proper paragraph I will genuinely reply.

That's because if I reply to a list of bullet points, the next post is inevitably going to be these copied and pasted again.

I think he's tougher than you give him credit for

    cant shoot
Don't think he's ever been given license to get forward to do that

    cant pass
Agreed, been shocking as of late.
    growls at every opposing player
There's nobody better, nothing wrong with that, imo

    contributes nothing else
I wouldn't say that, he has bags of energy, he just needs to temper it with some control.

I'll admit, I wanted rid of him, but I had no idea his injury was so bad, maybe he has been struggling.

He is going nowhere until at least the end of the season, lets get him fully fit and see how he fits into Mowbray's (or whoever) new look team, and then pass judgement.

And cheers Harry, the way you posted there made it easy to reply to you

He would give the ball away far less if he was played ahead of the midfield, like he was last season when he got POTY.

That's the problem, he is expected to stay back in the current set up. It doesn't suit him.

    Exactly.

Some fans think he's became a bad player over the summer. It's a combination of a few things, most noticably being played as a more defensive midfielder which has affected his game, not his ability.

He's never been able to pass particularly well, so to stick him right in the midfield was madness.

Totally. Playing beside a Nakamura and a Hartley made him a better player.

This season he's played beside N'Guemo mostly who is all over the place and finds himself everywhere bar in front of the defence for the bulk of matches. On top of this he plays with 2 wingers and a Left Back always getting caught up the park.

The biggest part of his game has always been his harrying although he can make great forward runs using his pace. Both have been completely taken out of his game protecting his injury which was stupid.

I don't really like Brown. I'd like to see a three man midfield with:
    Crosas N'guemo Zhi

A lot of yous rate Brown and say he is really good, yet a CM can't change to playing slightly deeper? Well he won't ever make it at the top level then imo. Maybe we wouldn't expect to see top class performances if he is slightly out of position but he has been horendous, their is no excuse.

Hope they get back fit as soon as possible, we need them no matter what people think.

Brown is a lot better than Robson, cant believe someone said we might end up with Caldwell in midfield if Robson gets injured - we might end up with Robson in midfield Crosas has been doing well though he should start every game from now on with N'Guemo.

Robson offers more than Brown imo. He's a better passer, he's a lot better at shooting and he's much better at set pieces. He also gets stuck in just like Brown but he has more discipline than Brown. Broon has a lot of energy but runs around like a headless chicken yet gets praised for that  Bizzare.

The only thing Robbo has against him is that now he is getting on a bit.

If TM is going to bring in players in Jan it would now look like Aiden, Artur or Skippy are the only real sellable assets...........
