If we got anywhere near £5 million for him, that would be a tremendous bit of business from Celtic.
I agree that his attitude is pretty bad, he's a stroppy wee bollocks and a pain in the ear for anyone around him especially Samaras.

But his work ethic? I think is great, even when he hasn't scored for 70 minutes he'll still be chasing the ball down and making life as hard for defenders as possible. Nothing wrong with his work ethic imo.

Now he knows others are on 20k+ including Samaras who took a 30% paycut to join us and Fortune who turned down 30% more from EPL teams to join us.

Skippy wants parity and is friends with Heid who also wants parity. He does not really want to leave but is using his press friends and agent to stir things up, hopping PL takes him in and give him his second big rise in three years.

If the move comes about he will go (for money) but he hopes to stay for more money. He is paying both sides against the middle.

Thats my view of the situation, he is on good money, if he wants more he needs to earn it on the park. Or if he feels he is not being paid enough leave and look for an employer who is willing to pay him his worth. Stop kissing the badge then using the same lips to stir up a move or engineer a pay rise...........
Pedros above post taken from the rumour thread sums things up perfectly for me.

Mowbray has also chose to start him a lot of the time though. Presumably Mowbray wanted players who offered more to their games besides goals and started with that. He then decided the goals weren't coming on this occasion (miraculously so it seemed) and stuck Skippy on to do his job.

If he is sold though, it's still not Mowbrays fault, the buck stops with the board and if an offer comes in that they like, they will sell.

I honestly think that he'll go even after reading his agents statement today. I also believe that Mowbray doesn't fancy him as a player.

The frustrating thing for me is that he actually looks match fit now which he clearly wasn't during the first month or two of the season. It's the same every year.

Anyway, bar Samaras, nobody scores on a regular basis and to be quite frank, you wouldn't trust him in the bigger games like Sunday's and the open goal at Tynecastle. He has something to offer but when the midfield are also struggling to deliver it's imperative to me that we keep McDonald as well as signing another poacher.

Also he does fuck all for the team, i'm sure we could find someone else who could do a bit more for the team and score goals.

I think we should keep him until atleas the summer but dont know what will happen. No point selling him we wont spend enough money to sign someone better anyway will only be like for like.

I thought I read today that he had scored 14 this season so far. Could be wrong.

Anyway the thing is Steven, he does seem to pop up for the big goals.

10 in 18 is not too bad at all.

He is the only one who we know can score on a regular basis and he is our best bet for a goal. Samaras has scored a few this season as well and has been in good form but Skippy will still get more goals than him.

As I have said before he is a limited player but to win games you need to score and he does that. I would like to see us sign Giroud and if he shows us that he can settle and do the business for us then Skippy may well go in the summer but we need to keep him for the remainder of the season.

10 league goals, 14 in total i think.

Also that's better than a 1 in 2 ratio which is what I expect from a striker.

I think it looks like he'll be going, despite what his agent says in the paper today.

Unless we have a very good striker coming in I think it's a bad idea.

Did you know he's basically best mates with Keith Jackshun and always goes running to the press with stories bud? Think he is the dressing room mole.

    He is definitely the mole.

He leaked the Aiden V Strachan story and the Aiden V Boruc story.

Cringeworthy pic tbh. This is the guy who celebrated wildly on helicopter sunday and said a move to the huns would be a dream come true.
