During the Strachan era, we seemed to score quite often from set pieces, much more than we do now. Of course, we had Nakamura's sweet delivery at disposal, but I think that's not the only reason why we scored a lot of headers. I mean, we now have Ki, whose delivery is more than satisfactory, yet, we haven't scored a header for God knows how long. And in tough spots, a goal from set piece can really help. Is our team under Mowbray generally pish at heading, or it's the changed way of how the team plays that has an effect on this?
All hail the Sorcerer of Yokohama!!
So many corners but we rarely finish them. We have big guys in there as well, but they cant seem to get it in the back of the net.
I actually think Ki's deliveries were quite poor today.
I also think that we have failed to score a large amount of goals using height and power since the MON era when we had Sutton , Larsson , Hartson , Balde , Mjallby , Valgaeren , Varga etc..
We did score goals from set pieces under Strachan but no where near the amount we did under MON.
Hooiveld was pretty dominant in the air today, good to see.

Loovens and ODea both used to score a few from corners.
did most of our headers not come from JVoH?
