when he has played, and they've played together, brown has been overshadowed by n'guemo. when n'guemo was playing DM at the start of the season his reading of the game was brilliant, lennon-esque, while brown couldnt hit a 20 yard pass or finish a mars bar.

I agree with most of the sentiment RE Browns ability.

But I do not disagree with what Metro and Clagan are saying either.

As limited as Brown is, he gets stuck in and I think his tenacity is something we’ve been missing recently.

For me Samaras’ passing is just as shit as Browns.

I don’t really get that ‘oh ffs’ feeling when Brown is in the team, like the way I would if we have to endure the likes of Naylor, Caldwell, McManus or even Samantha in the starting XI.

i think that too, my friend but i've been thinkin gthat since he joined the club. hopefully the arm band brings out the best in him, also playing 3 in MF like he did at hibs.

however based on performances this year, n'guemos better than brown. not a spectacular player but does a great job for the team.

Whenever ive seen Brown on the right wing, he has been pretty effective, could be possible for him to play there and to have McGeady on the left... Crosas/NGuemo in the centre

I thought Gravesen was actually quite good.

Scored something like 10 goals in half a season. 2 of which were against the KKK.

Agree with most people here, Brown is a bit of a donkey. Intelligence, passing, shooting, vision, movement, positioning etc etc. All sub-standard. Doesn't deserve to be in the starting line-up. If he comes good? Then good stuff, until then, he has been guff.

I like Brown. he's a good player, who's just coming back from a recurring injury. He was Player of the Year last season and Young Player of the Year in 2007. There are worse around him and I see a bright future ahead.

His awful performances for the majority of his Celtic career despite having one good spell which showed what he was capable of. And being able to play for Scotland at a better standard than he does for us.

Where do we start with Brown ? Well he cannae pass or shoot. He has all the energy, stamina and dig needed but he does not have the intelligience to use those attributes properly and instead spends his game chasing shadows and fouling opposition players. He never scores or creates but most importantly games in which he totally dominates the midfield are a rarity. It is a shame as I like Broony but he is a poor player.

Having said that I would still like to see him in the team for now (which will happen anyway, whether we like it or not) as we lack dig in the midfield, Landry being the only other CM with a bit dig about him. Broony's form was poor but you cannot ignore the fact dig is needed now. It would need to be a 3 man midfield though as Brown does not form a good parternship with Landry on his own.

He plays a captain's role. I am suprised at the attitude he has shown in these two games, his whole demeanour has changed and he is playing more for the team. I have seen more leadership from him in two games than I witnessed in two years with McManus at the helm.

I noticed this against Dunfermline actually. When we scored he was the first one over to pat the scorer on the back and he doesn't look as reckless anymore either. Less bookings.
