I'd like to know what people dislike about this player. He gets slated on here constantly, or he has done since the start of the season anyway.
What's your expectations of him?
Where should he be playing position wise?
To me he's not Paul McStay obviously!
He's more of a flexible player who can do a job in various positions from midfield anywhere to RB. I don't see why everyone dislikes his style either. He's got the Neil Lennon strengths in him without the experience but has more pace.
As far as being a Captain, could we leave this out the thread as we already have one? He wouldn't be my first choice but wouldn't be far off either come to think of the players we know in the squad at the moment.
Explain please lads.
He's awful at tackling, passing has no vision, can't keep possession runs around like a headless chicken picking up yellow cards stupidly, offers nothing really going forward as he loses the ball constantly, offers nothing defensively because he can neither tackle nor hold the ball up.
What has he done to merit being put right back in the first 11 right away let alone being made captain.
I can't agree with any of this. I think we're talking about a different player.
Awful at tackling...you're having a laugh. Who's better at Celtic bar N'Guemo at the moment?
Possession keeping is something WGS was working on with him trying to change his postition and from what I seen against a weaker team to be fair is getting better. He was our best passer by far against Dunfermline including Crosas.
Headless Chicken Runs? Didn't see any tbh.
Yellow cards? Calmed down in a big way, wouldn't you agree?
Offers nothing going forward is more to do with the thread tbh, and seeing what YOU see in the player.
Playing holding midfield could be a role for Brown as he did in Iceland for Scotland.
I don't
Nope, I'm serious. I'm gonna say the whole defence.
Awful at tackling...you're having a laugh. Who's better at Celtic bar N'Guemo at the moment?
Getting better by his standards is still shit, and he was not our best passer by far, Kamara was.Possession keeping is something WGS was working on with him trying to change his postition and from what I seen against a weaker team to be fair is getting better. I'm talking about his overall time here, not just the dunfermline gameHeadless Chicken Runs? Didn't see any tbh.
He has calmed down a bit yet still picks up a lot of silly cards.Yellow cards? Calmed down in a big way, wouldn't you agree?
I'm telling you what I see in the player.Offers nothing going forward is more to do with the thread tbh, and seeing what YOU see in the player.
We've already got a holding midfielder in N'guemo and a better passer in Crosas, I don't see what he's done to get the nod over him.Playing holding midfield could be a role for Brown as he did in Iceland for Scotland.
Wouldn't have him in the middle of the park. N'Guemo and Crosas were forming a good partnership before Mowbray intervened and broke them up. The only way i would play him is if he was one of a midfield 3 , other than that i dont see a place for him.
I wouldn't say he was better than N'Guemo for a second after watching the OF game. N'Guemo has been our best player this season by a distance for me.
The best Celtic team I've seen over the last few years had Brown at RM with Crosas and Robson! Would this be an option?
I like the choice of 4-3-3 which I've been crying out for all season though.
I would like to see him play wide right, I dont think he has the control, vision or awareness for central mid. I also feel he would be a good RB, but would probally not like playing there. Playing in the central role if he gets dragged out of position it leaves us very exposed, especially in a 4 4 2 set up. I think we still have to see the best from him but he needs to start to show more consistancy, there are flash's of a real player there but he does not impose himself on games like he should.
while his tackling and passing have been poor in the past, i was impressed by him on sunday, albeit against dunfermiline. Thought he showed a new discipline to his game and didnt give many wayward passes.
It's not the creed or nationality that counts, it's the man himself
Celtic - more than just a club

He can't tackle, he can't pass a ball, he can't shoot - imo he doesn't deserve to be in the Celtic team at all. He has never, not once, lived up to the hype that surrounded him signing.
All that plus he's a dirty hun!
Cheers Cash67
Would have him and Crosas in the middle every week Nguemo is the one this thread should be about.
has to play, he's the captain and the only player with a pair of balls. he'll get into the oppositions faces and ruffle a few feathers (how many cliches is that)?
anyone who doesnt want him in the team you better get used to it as, as long as he's fit, he'll play every game till the end of the season.
its tough to compare brown and n'guemo as they are different MF's but just on form n'guemos been twice the player brown has this season.
