A ten point deficit is not that much at this stage, especially when we have to play them twice. If we take 6 points from them, that would be us only be looking for a 4 or 5 point swing.

They still have to go to places like Pittodrie as well. Their threadbare squad is starting to show, they have more games left than us with the cup replay and final ahead of them, Wattie is leaving at the end of the season and the uncertainty surrounding their future is rumbling away adding to the discord.

It's really not all over yet. We are showing signs of being a team and everything could fall into place just yet. So there will be no white flag from me at this stage.
Exactly what I was just saying on the phone there, have you got my line tapped ya cunt?

who was in our defence today? letting in 4 goals is a dissaster. Who was nets aswell if it was Boruc i think it's time to put Zaluska in nets from now to the rest of the season.

its a very difficult time watching that shite on the pitch. I want mowbray to do well and i can see improvements in team spirit and in certain areas on the pitch at times. it will take time to gel. however if hibs now win their 2 games in hand , we go 3rd. thats the reality of were we are at.
7points behind greyskull inc. with 1 more game played. 5 ahead of hibs with 2 more games played.
im hurting. but mowbray is hurting big time.
its getting harder to hold that opinion.

Had a few bevvies, who can blame a man after that shambles??

I think, sadly, that Moggas time is up. I honestly believe that anyone, and I mean anyone, could have the players we have, or even had from the Summer, and mould a team more than capable of beating a R*ngers team that are in financial ruin, havent signed a player in 18 months and have a geriatric at the helm !!!

I honestly believe that if we were to take the title this year, which I think is beyond our reach now, we would essentially be consigning the Huns to many, many years of doom and gloom. They need a buyer, Champs League makes them a viable investment, Europa League or 2 play offs (Not sure this year), makes them a risky investment.

I wont argue with the boards commitment, they have after all shelled out well over £10m in transfer fees and wages I would reckon, what I would point the finger at is Mowbray and his failiures the strengthen where required.

We needed an experienced CB, maybe 2, nothing. I refuse to get on the back of Thompson as he is only 18 and is learning his trade. We need a CM who has the vision and passing range to unlock defences, nothing, though I wont blame N'Guemo or Crosas as they are clearly holding players.

We needed a CF who would get 20+ goals a season to partner McDonald, we got Fortune who, while being an excellent player, wouldnt get 20+ in 1.5 seasons, and we let Skippy go. Okay we got Keane, but that was just to please the fans, the real matter here is we sold Skippy for £3.5m and will spend £1.4m on Keanes wages, which will still leave the PLC in profit.

At the moment we are in ruin and for me, if R*ngers were to slip to defeat tomorrow, it would merely be an opportunity missed.

I would like to add to the record, I will continue to support the team, cheer, laugh and cry with the boys , as regardless of what I believe with regards to the running or stewardhip of our club, they are still our club, and the men put on the field are my men, and I will support then evermore !!!!!!

    A good post Rab.

It's a strange feeling just now. I didn't want Mowbray at the start, and I've seen little to change my mind. But with all the new players having come in it would be mad to sack him - so we're in a kind of limbo just now. And we have to sit back and watch the huns, while in the middle of the biggest crisis in their history, seemingly cruise the league.

We all complained about the style of football under Strachan and, to be fair to Mowbray, we do look good going forward. But we cannot defend, and no team is going to win a league when it cannot defend.

What concerns me, is our inability to hold on to any sort of lead or momentum we build up.

Yesterday was a great example. When we scored early doors, I thought, Great! Lets build on this. We looked quicker, sharper, hungrier than the sheep. looked like we could have went on to hump them big time. but no. We got the goal, then sat back and let them in. Then it took us a while to get back in to the game again. Then again, as soon as we scored....we let them back in....again!!

Our concentration levels need to be questioned. At 2 - 4 up we were in total control and look more like adding to our tally than conceding. So, what happened? Mowbray happened. Substitutions he makes at times are at best, puzzling. Yesterday was no exception.

As i have stated before, i am a fan of Glasgow Celtic Football Club....not a fan of Mowbray, Strachan or anyone else who is in charge....I am not even a fan/supporter of any particular player....I support the club....not any individual. But, if anyone within the club, that I love, is not doing their best or their best is not good enough, then I want them out. To put it more bluntly, I dont give a fuck about Mowbray or any player in the team....if none of these guys can do the job for my club...then they can fuck off!

.....and I want to start with Mowbray!!!!

To be honest I'm not even dumbfounded or surprised.

It's the story of our season, why will it change now?

    It won't.

The only thing that may change, is that we start scoring more than the opposition.

Mowbray has a track record of managing piss poor defences.

I honestly think if we had the top 4 defenders in world football right now we would stil struggle to stop goals, because TM has no idea how to set up a defence.

and all this from a bruiser of defender in his day, is bizzare to say the least

Spot on. McManus and Caldwell ain't good enough but the best of CDs would struggle in our current formation. I've never seen a Celtic team so vulnerable.

The problem isn’t should Celtic and the current manager part ways the problem is when. Neither party can be happy with the way things are going and both understand the pressures and expectations at Celtic, no manager was ever going to be given time to build a new team or get a new team to gel, everyone expects success, everyone expects the team to win. Now how realistic these expectations are is a moot point the fact remains that in the context of very poor domestic opposition it’s not hard to see why expectation would be so high.

The only decision to be made is are things going to improve given more time or is a more radical change needed, IMO the decision has been made, and it’s going to mean a fundamental change, the issue now is timing, can we get the Coach we want in now, probably not, it will take time, so do we appoint a caretaker, possibly, but will that improve matters, probably not. I feel Tony will be allowed to remain until it is mathematically impossibly to win (or we win the league) the League then there will be a statement of mutual consent.

The search for the new Coach has probably started, and hopefully this time we get the right man, I admire Tony, but he was never first choice, he is a man of integrity and is very likeable, but he never had the credentials for the job at Celtic.

Makes no difference if we get a new manager in now, the huns (with quite a bit of help from you know who) have it wrapped up. Wait til the summer, there'll probably be more managers available then
