Robbie Keane insists he will return to Tottenham in the summer when his loan deal with Celtic concludes.

The Republic of Ireland international sealed a shock loan switch to Parkhead on the final day of the transfer window and has impressed during his time in the SPL.

Celtic boss Tony Mowbray is known to be keen on an extended stay, but admits the Bhoys cannot afford a permanent deal.

White Hart Lane manager Harry Redknapp sees the talented striker as part of his long-term plans and has ruled out a further loan spell.

And the well-travelled forward has now confirmed that he will be packing his bags and heading back to North London at the end of the campaign.

"It's just a loan move and always has been.

"I've got a lot of friends down at Tottenham and I miss the lads - I speak to them all the time and they are doing well at the moment.

"I also miss the tea ladies - they are very good down there!"

Get Dermot to buy his mates from Spurs as well. And make the tea ladies an offer they can't refuse.

Can't believe you lot thought he was a Celtic fan. His dad was a massive massive Celtic fan to say the least. Keane was a Liverpool fan all his life. The reason he kisses his tattoo on his wrist when he scores and points to the sky is because his da would have loved to see him play for Celtic. The papers seem to think he does it for his son when that's not the case.


Also covers up the other tattoo because it says FUCK THE QUEEN on it.

Pretty poor show that. If he was as big a Tim as he claims then he would not be expressing his desire to leave this soon. If he wants to go back to London for a reunion with the fucking tea ladies then so be it, fuck him.

I know, but there's also more recent stories where he stated he's a liverpool fan and obviously his most recent story with us where he claimed to be a celtic fan and always wanted to play here despite saying he "never wanted to play for anyone else" which he said upon signing for liverpool.

Make your mind up Keane.

There's no doubting he is a Tim. Just not as big a Tim as we thought he was/he claimed to be.

If i played with Spurs then signed for Liverpool i would say

i've always been a Liverpool fan and went to see them when I was young, it's an honour to sign for Liverpool.

If I played for Spurs then signed for Barcelona I'd say

I have loved Barcelona since i was a kid and it has always been my dream to play for Barcelona, oyu could then bring up pics of me as a kid in numerous Barca tops with Luis Enrique, Rivaldo, Ronaldo etc on the back

If I played with Spurs and signed for Celtic I'd say

Celtic were my Team since I was born and it has always been my long held ambition to play for the club
