And rightly so.
‘I won’t say anything to Dougie McDonald,’ said Brown. ‘I bet you he is glad he is coming to Parkhead, eh? Will Saturday be a test of my patience? Aye, I think so.
‘He is the referee and he has to do his job and I will do mine. Hopefully, he’ll do his job better this time than the last time.’
Brown’s R*ngers rival, Kevin Thomson, has already alleged that some referees single out particular players for attention — and his former Hibs team-mate did not disagree.
‘I think some officials do (have it in for certain players),’ he said. ‘It is like players who niggle at each other. Referees niggle at certain players and players niggle at certain referees. Sometimes it depends on if your face fits.
Celtic's captain Scott Brown pushes his head into R*ngers' Kyle Lafferty
Flashpoint: Scott Brown was sent off after clashing with Kyle Lafferty in an Old F**m match last month
‘I won’t change the way I play. I don’t know if McDonald has it in for me — he could do.
‘But if I go and change my game, I would become a different kind of player.
‘I enjoy being the player that I am. I enjoy playing for the club and every manager who I have played under has never had any problems with the way I play the game.
‘So I don’t see why anyone else should have a problem with the way I play or how I go about my business.’
McDonald threw out Celtic’s appeal against the red card following Brown’s clash with Lafferty before it could even reach a video review panel.
‘I think it is embarrassing that only the referee decides,’ added Brown. ‘How it got changed from a panel back to just the referee is strange.
‘He can say to himself that it doesn’t matter (if he has made a mistake) because it is coming back to him (on appeal) and he is hardly going to change his mind and show that he was wrong, is he?’

Was reading this earlier on. Well said Broony. I fucking hate that ref.
"I won’t change the way I play."
Wish you would Broony, maybe try playing well for a change!
Wait to you see him go now with Lenny in charge.
Lol I hope Lenny can improve him as a player and that we get to see the real Scott Brown and not this imposter we have been watching for so long in a Celtic jersey.
It'll be interesting to see what role Lenny gives him whether it's a more defensive ball-winning role or an advanced role.

God Bless Mr Celtic
That is what I like to see from Brown. Show a bit of pride, eh. Well in Broony.
brown should slude tackle the cunt
"What these players have to realise, is that when you put on the Celtic jersey you're not playing for a football team, you're playing for a community and a cause"
I would love to see Broony play the 'Lennon' role. His passing is very limited so if he should keep it simple like Lenny did. He has that agression that Lenny did and also the dig that is required. Unfortunately for Brown 'dig' only gets you so far. He should be able to pick up a few tips from Neil though and hopefully he can add some good positioning to his game rather than his current headless chicken act. I am not sure he has the intelligience to play this role nor the discipline but if there is anyone out there to learn it from then it's Lenny.
I am one of his biggest critics but I hope he proves me wrong. He has until the Summer to impress me![]()

Totally agree with that. This is Browns problem though, to me he did look promising as a forward going player due to drive and determination but as you said this will only get you so far.
I think he probably would like himself to play a more forward going role but with Lenny there his best chance is to hopefully pick up the same sort of traits that Lenny had and try and make his game based on this.
I liked Brown when he came but like you said, headless chicken act just gets on the tits. He really needs to up his game soon.
I'm not sure this is his best role but I could see him play it with loads of game time and Lennon's advice. Seen him play a good game for Scotland under Burley in Iceland in this position.
Lennon was a good reader of the game but lacked pace. Brown's obviously got that advantage for the next 5-8 years anyway. I think it's his reading of the game and wreckless passing that would have to improve in general for this.
I'd rather see him play in an advanced role. He doesn't have the brains, the concentration or the discipline to play in the Lennon role. Let's face it, he's a heidless chicken who likes to square up to folk and won't shite out of a challenge... doesn't really make him a DM.
He was good at the very start of his first season, he was getting into the box and scoring goals with Hartley sitting deep.
I'd love to see him getting into the box more often with N'Guemo and Crosas sitting deeper.
That's why I think he could do well in that position if he improves on his reading of the game as he has the pace that Lenny never. His passing is terrible but it wouldn't need to be anything great to play in that position, just keep it simple. Then again sometimes he struggles to even do that.
What do you think is his best position Metro ?

Can you really "learn" how to read the game? IMO, that is one of those gifts you're born with, as a footballer.
Then again though, it isn't hard to read the SPL.
I don't like him playing in a midfield two, that's for sure. He was good there last season with Naka filling in but with two wingers he can't use his pace to get up the pitch.
For Scotland, he's been the stand-out player playing on the right side of a three. That's where he played at Hibs and looked the part. We'd need the right players though as we tend to use wingers which ain't a winning formation.
I'd give him a shot in midfield with Ki, Crosas and N'Guemo as a three depending on who and where we're playing. I mean, we've discussed what Brown's good at but we're almost talking about the same player with N'Guemo apart from the fact he's mince in the opponents half! Maybe Lennon should be having a word with him instead.
