He will be our main striker next season anyway, at least play him and Keane together for now, then him and Fortuné next season. We have to sign a new striker in the summer though

Hinkel, MAF, N'Guemo, McGeady and Maloney.
As much as I'm not fan of Aiden's, I think he's been the best player this season, followed closely by those three above (excluding Shaun, didn't play enough). He's contributed surprisingly more than expected considering his limited aspects of the game.
Those aforementioned deserve a shout too, good performances despite our awful season.
And if we are to include keepers, Boruc would undoubtedly be our best player all the way.

I don’t really think much of this squad tbh…
Artur is the best player, but taking him aside as directed in the OP, I’d say for talent alone it’s either McGeady or McCourt, both are pretty ineffective for most of the season but have occasional bursts of form.
With McCourt it’s his fitness that holds him back, as Mo already alluded to, he had a fucking massive drink and gambling problem in Derry. You were almost certain to see him down in Ladrbokes having a wee punt on the dogs every other day whilst nursing a pint and a couple of fags.
With McGeady it’s a combination of things that I wouldn’t be arsed to go into.

Completely agree with you about Paddy. He has that brilliance in him that he can win you a game with one moment of magic. But as a football player and a team mate he is sadly lacking.
Even without fitness he should be able to read a game and position himself, yet he can't. On the rare occassion he has started, barring the CIS Cup games, he seems to be out of his depth. He is not a pacy player and never will be, so I'd use him only once a game has opened up and the opponents are tired. I'd still like to see him brush up on his fitness as he can look tired after 30 minutes of football
He would gladly accept a supersub role at Celtic and I'd be happy to keep him in that capacity. He can win games and has a god given talent but he's not a starter for me.

McCourt and McGeady have the most natural ability. Scott Browne has zero talent he just has a bit of dig and really fit. That doesnt mean he isnt effective.

The sad thing is how long you have to think about this before coming up with a player and then having to qualify your answer by saying on his day, or potential. Hinkel gets my vote, Brown, McGready and the rest are all too inconsistent and tbh one trick ponies.....

Not including Artur as the OP says, its McGeady hes the best player at our club he just has to add more an end product to what he does.
