Go for it guys. Not including Goal Keepers, who is the best?
I'm going with Paddy McCourt.
I know he hasn't out-classed the best of opponents yet but at the same time hasn't had any decent game time against them. This bull-shit that he's a impact player doesn't wash with me either. I've seen him from the start take on full fit teams and put the ball in the net.
He's got the George Best thing about him and now let us see it when we've very little to lose. Just give him a team to work with as in no other wingers....just ball winners beside him.
Hinkel and Brown are up there for their own reasons but McCourt is our most talented player for me.
If anyone votes Keane or a loan player they're idiots.
McCourt is the most talented but it doesn't matter because he has the work rate of an infant. He's good when people are tired but he lacks the ability to operate within a team.
Lennon and BBJ were hardly ever fit with us
Paddy has serious potential, if only he was spotted earlier in his career.
We can't sing about Connolly,
We can't sing about Sands,
Celtic Football Club, is in the wrong hands!
Metroman i canny fathom you out at all mate. Your sound as a pound but you talk one lot of pish man, no offence or that!! lol All that's missin out your post is 'Maloney will piss all over everyone when he comes back'.
Nah seriously though, not tryin to be a prick, but what has Paddy, talented as he is, done to merit being our best player? Surely your talking about potential? As in if he done this or that (improved his fitness and attitude) he'd be a class act. The same way you say if McGeady done this or that (improved his 'end product'/stopped running into 'cul-de-sacs') he'd be a class act. Yet no mention of him?
Imo there is no debate here, McGeady is our best outfield player and the best in the country. End of.

Actually, Paddy has just played a full game for the reserves against Hamilton and he even scored one of the four goals.
I think we'll see a lot more from him next season, if he can stay injury-free that is...There was a good mix of youth and experience in the line-up and McGrain felt the younger players did well.
“We gave Paddy another 90 minutes which is essential to his fitness,” he said. “Ki also got 90 minutes along with Zheng Zhi, Paul Caddis and Mark Wilson. Marc Crosas came off after 45 minutes with a strain but he put in some good work in the first half.
McGeady is our most talented player, pity he has no backbone and disappears when the going gets tough.
Hinkel is our most consistent player, Brown also has the potential to be our best player and McCourt hasn't the fitness to come into consideration.
So I'm going for Hinkel. It's a bad day when a right back is your best player all the same.
McGeady, no question for me. On actual form throughout the season I'd say Hinkel, though. He is great at what he does, is never brilliant yet never bad, just goes about his business and always consistent. McGeady on his day is top class and will tear the opposition defence apart. Shame he can't produce it week in, week out.
Brown has potential, McCourt has potential. Just a pity we can't seem to get them playing at their best/fit.
Has to be McGeady for me. Although Keane is the best football player at Celtic right now.
Barring Artur then it would have to be Aiden.
Andy is in with a shout too due to his consistency, something that Aiden lacks which is a shame as on his day he is great to watch. He had a great first half of the season where he was carrying us at times but in all honesty he has struggled for form ever since the huns game at New Year. Hasn't had too many stand out games since.
