Why have we not seen this front pairing more often? Both look perfectly suited to play off each other and have shown an understanding in the little time on the pitch they've had together. Keane always worked well off a bigger target man eg Quinn and Berbatov.
Rasmussen certainly has not good a fair amount of game time since he arrived

The reason is because we've tried to play Fortune' and Samaras every week.

This season should be a lesson to any up and coming manager that the 4-2-4 doesn't work. You need to score at least 3 a game to win games this way.

Keano and Razza were excellent when they played together away to Falkirk a few weeks back, the two are hardly 10ft apart from each other. Where on the other hand Samaras and Fortuné become wingers and leave no one up front or through the middle!

I find some of Lenny's selections strange, Brown and NGuemo in central midfield makes no sense; Fortune up front with Keane is another. Fortune is not a striker, he is terrible in the air and regularly heads over from 3 yards, he does not attack the ball in the box and has little to no predatory awareness, he looks okay 30 yards from goal and is allegedly good at creating chances for midfielders, problem being we don’t offer much of a goal threat from midfield. McGready scores some but not enough, Brown is asked to sit in now and is a shadow of the player he was, only Maloney would offer a threat from midfield and he's more of a threat to the treatment table than anything else.

Fortune surely must be one of the players on the "list" so other than keep him in the shop window why play him. Ra should get a run in the team, as should Crosas. At least let’s see if some of the fringe players are good enough......

We should set the team up next week the way it finished today i.e. Fortune and McGeady on the wings with Rassa and Keane up front. Thought we looked class today with that set up.

And i wish to god we had better defenders then we could play a back 3, have two holding midfielders and one Petrov type. That's the way we need to be going imo.

Just watched the match... Razza's been what we've been crying out for. A good striker who will be known in the box.

Not surprised seeing as they were waiting till we actually started to play him till they suspend him.

You assume we'd have played him regardless?
I feel for Rassa, he was coming here probably in the mind set that he was going to take a starring role, and got shafted by the Keane arrival. Fair play to the guy he accpeted the nature of Keane at Celtic, but the guy deserves more game time, and a good run of full 90mins like.

Exacly guys. He may turn out a flop, he may be a fucking new Larsson, who really knows. But he doesnt get the chance to show it.
A few of our players have went down this path, even more so than Rassa has.
Ben Hutchi never got a chance at all really, even though he tore the reserve league apart, and we were screaming out for a goal scorer all last season.
Mizuno the same although I think Injury played a part there.
Misun is another, though I feel he may actually be injured he is surely better than Naylor though, at least from the very litle I have seen he seems more competent than Naylor. We need to give these guys a chance, and times like now is the best chance.

mizuno got a big shot in the of match and was poor mate, i dont think hes a future here, too lightweight. i was never a hutch fan, when he did finaly get a few apps his movement was shite and his shot were all ballooned high and wide, think he went on loan to some didy club and has been meh. misun? fingers crossed he could be a player but he was injured for a year straight there pretty much no chacne of game time

Fortune should be converted into a midfielder, if he wants to stay here. Leave attacking to Morten. Another master of jammy goals, that's what we need, after Big Mac left the club.
All hail the Sorcerer of Yokohama!!
