You know the view of scottish football in which they will be judging mcgeady.

The biggest names being thrown about are Birmingham and the like, Spurs are a bigger team too.

I understand what you are saying bud , but we should still have a target to achieve in our evaluation, he is better than Hutton so we should be looking to get better.
The Russian clubs are backed by billionaire's and are willing to spend big , so why not demand at least £10m.

We'd be stupid to sell him. He's the best winger we have. Fine, he's not the best in the world - obviously, but he can create chances out of absolutely nothing. He has a rare skill (unparalleled in the SPL, at least in my opinion - McCourt comes close). He's one of the most creative and forward thinking players we have.

McGeady playing in Russia????? Just doesn't seem right.

We'd be stupid to reject £10 million + for a guy who hid against Ross fucking County.

We need real characters in the team next season, those who would run through a brick wall for our manager. I have my doubts over whether Aiden would do that. Sell.

That was obviously just one example...he has barely kicked a ball since the huns game at New year. We can't afford having guys like that in the team next season. Ross County was just the straw that broke the camel's back for me, I had tried my best to stick up for him and have done on many an occasion. Cannae justify any longer though.

Fair enough. Can you name any one player who has stood out for you since New year, though? I can't.

McGeady is not a player we need to be rid of. We need to get him back to his best. On a good day he can demolish anybody.

No I can't which speaks volumes for the position we are in. Apart from Robbie Keane obviously.

The only reason I suggest we sell him is that he would command a good fee which would allow us to rebuild this mediocre squad. Guys like Samaras would be the first out the door for me but we would only get penny's for guys like him...unless of course he finishes top scorer at the world cup

As much as the stats are similiar, I think the general make of a player is how he actually GETS those stats. I don't remember every McGeady goal but in terms of performance it hasn't been the same.

Someone could score 20 goals a season by brilliant play, then the following season score 20 lucky goals without any performance.

Imo he just isn't as good as he was in 07-08.

That's my point though. If he was that productive while playing shitty and with a shitty support cast think of what he can do in the revamped side for next year. I think we should give him a year and see what happens unless we get a 10m+ offer.

Diegan, is it worth getting rid of him for 10m+ if you believe he's capable of achieving what you obviously believe (like me) he is capable of?

Plus - factor in - who's getting this money? Do we get to spend it all and who's going to be spending it?

McGeady should stay for me. Even the optimistic offers for him aren't enough. I believe he's vital to next season's team and you can't really put a price on that. Unless somebody offers £30 million or something.
