http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...190939,00.htmlSkysports.com understand that Spartak Moscow have lodged a bid for Celtic winger Aiden McGeady.
The Russian club have reportedly offered the Hoops €10million (£8.3m) to bring the 24-year-old to the Luzhniki Stadium.
It is believed officials from Spartak flew to Scotland last week in hopes of agreeing a deal for the winger with the Parkhead club.
Republic of Ireland wide man McGeady, who has also been linked with a move to Birmingham, made his senior debut for Celtic in 2004.
The Scottish-born winger helped Hoops land consecutive Scottish Premier League titles from 2006-08.
“If he wants to learn about scoring goals, he should nip over to watch us train at Lennoxtown some afternoon and I'll show him a thing or two about finishing”
I'd bite their fucking hands off, man.
Good money, not fussed if he stays or goes. Doubt he would fancy Russia though

doubt he would go to spartak tbh, hes always said he wants to play in the premiership. He will end up at birmingham or a club of the nature, bottom half of the premiership type club.

Hutton and Gordon were worth 9 million, so Aiden should be worth more.
Snap, snap fucking snap! Fantastic offer!
I don't see him going to Russia but i'd happily take that money. Ah well, hopefully push another few clubs he might be interested in to make bids knowing this one is in there.
Good money for him. If I could advice McGeady I'd tell him to go for his own expereince and career. If he goes to Birmingham or the sort, he may fall in to obscurity, take the chance to play in a different leage, different culture, experience life etc and learn new ways. He doesn't need to be there forever, 2years, and request a move, if he does the job, Spartak will make money off him, and he'll get more suiters from the EPL, La Liga SerieA etc. He should take this route, rather than playing in low half EPL the now and never getting the chance again.
As for us, take the fucking money and have the board put the same again back in to the club. Lennon needs money. Although by the looks of it, the baord aren't going to give him much(likes of Sol etc aren't exactly going to break any banks or cost significant money). Maybe McGeady going, and seeing a replacement from within might allow us to sign that 'blue chip' player.
Let's hope he goes. Good money as well.
£8M? Not enough.
15 mill and we can start negotiating
Never going to happen. Best we can hope for is Birmingham etc come in and we get it to a square £10million. 15 won't happen, clubs will look elsewhere on the continent for that sort of money. Yeah in England players of the same calibre, or less, go for that sort of cash, but we know they won't pay over the odds for our players, why push it?
Take it now before it's too late.
I don't see how we can afford to lose such a key player. We've already lost our goalscorer in Keane, now sell of talent like Aiden? Nice offer but I say shove it.
All depends who we buy in but we can get alot more for him, tbh he can stay or go in my book, he'll never fufill his potential in the spl anyway
