Thread: Ways to get new members

So aye, I've noticed a bit recently that there's been a bit of a shortage in people signing up.

Anyway, has anyone got any good ideas to attract members to this place and get it a bit more lively? Fire away with them.

Anyway, for the time being, here's a few small things to do:

Good shout. I think if one of the graphics lads made one of those wee user bars like the ones I've got in my sig saying 'Board67 user' it would be a god way to attract attention in sigs on other pages.

BTW, the youtube group has potential to get loads of publicity for the site if everyone joins, regularly looks at it, posts there favourite Celtic videos on youtube onto the page etc.

Signing up to Newsnow. I have already suggested this but I think it's quite a hassle for them to accept a site. I don't know what the craic is with it but if we manage to do it then it would be good.

I think the youtube idea could work

maybe some of use could try and record some of the crowd singing or something and someone could edit it and put board67 on it.


I know Max rapture put's highlight of the match together, maybe he could add them to channel aswell.

People may decide to subscribe and sign up.

Noticed there were no posts for about 3 hours on a Friday afternoon. What the hell is everybody doing...working on a Friday arvo?

Everybody that posts on here seems to have over 1000 posts these days.

Should try venture into new avenues, maybe make a podcast or an online fanzine etc

Exactly what made me make this thread mate.


Another good shout IMO, is that we all know about this Tell-A-Tim referral feature on this site etc.
Maybe if there was a wee competition lasting a fortnight/a month to see who could refer the most members in that period...

Good shout with the YT videos, if someone could make like highlights vids and compilations of players,like the best bits etc etc and just watermark them with "www.Board67.com" it would generate some more interest in the site!

We tried before any they were all "yeah we'll check it out" then we heard fuck all back from them.

Maybe if Euskadi (or anyone else!) done the Radio thing once a week and we spread the word. Telling the to sign up and request a song too.
