Of all the players the Vermin have had in recent memory, Lovenwanks was the guy who I genuinely feared playing against in the derby games. Particularly under McLeish… as far as I remember, McLeish enjoyed some early success against MON.

The system he played, with pacey wingers like McCann, Cannagia and L’wanks pretty much exposed our 3-5-2. I’m sure this is what made MON revert to a 4-4-2.
