    Default USA vs. Brazil

Game in New Jersey tonight. It's a really, really interesting mix of established starters and up and comers for both teams so it's worth watching just for that.

    USA:

    ---------------Howard------------------
    Spector--Gonzalez--Bocanegra--Bornstein
    -----------Bradley----Edu---------------
    Bedoya---------Donovan---------Feilhaber
    --------------Buddle--------------------

Donovan will drift out wide at points with either Feilhaber or Bedoya taking his spot. Gonzalez is the 6'5" monstrosity of a man who is getting his first (overdue) cap. Probably will be difficult against Brazil but I'm not going to judge him just by tonight.

    Brazil:

    --------------------Victor-----------------------
    Dani Alves---David Luiz--Thiago Silva--Andre Santos
    ---------------Ramires-----Lucas-----------------
    Robinho----------Ganso-------------------Neymar
    ------------------Pato---------------------------

The front four for Brazil is mouthwatering.

Yeah they are. Neymar and Pato are making Dunga look a little old-fashioned. Ganso has been good but not good enough to displace Brazil's current attacking midfielders. And I want David Luiz's hair. Gonzalez is going through trial by fire as I imagined but he's done alright.

Supposedly Sally McCoist is at this watching two US boys that play in Scandanavia, Feilhaber is one of them but can't remember who the other is?

I only caght the last maybe 10 mins there, i don't think yous got a touch in that time lol. Just the way Brazil never panic even when they're getting closed down, they are always in control, they know where each other are and what spaces each other are moving into, it's almost telepathy the way the do it. Absolutely phenomenal.

Clarence Goodson, a 6'4" center back plays for IK Start. Benny Feilhaber, one of the US's better attacking players, plays for AGF Aarhus. Alejandro Bedoya, a young creative attacking player, plays for Orebro. Feilhaber and Bedoya would both start for Celtic so that's worrying if they're looking at either of them. I don't think they could afford Bedoya though.

The US got out of the gates very quickly... almost scored inside 30 seconds and then had a stonewall pen/red card denied when Landon got hacked. Then it was pretty even for about 5 minutes and from about the 20' mark onwards it was all Brazil.

Still think Michael Bradley should be in Celtic's midfield lol.

77,223 at the game the night, impressive for the US!

Good game but I missed the 1st half. Neymar looks unreal, 8 million West Ham were going to pay a few weeks back, we should go in for him he'll be sold on for 5 times that.

Well that was a joy to watch... Brazil looked very good. It was kind of a mixed A/B team for the US and a pure B team from Brazil but their depth is just ridiculous. Their third stringers would start for the vast majority of countries in the world... especially their attackers. As a fan of the sport in general I hope Menezes is successful as he seems to be going back to the classic Brazilian style.
