BBC Sport - Football - Fifa aims to end draws in World Cup group games
The man's a lunatic![]()
Fucking crackpot.
And the worrying thing is, if/when he leaves there is no doubt a long line of crackpots waiting to take over.
That guy is a cock. Ending games with pens is just going to lead to underdogs being even more defensive. Good news for teams like Greece and Switzerland who don't try a leg to score as they don't have the abilty to win games. OK, they beat Spain in a freak one-off game, but what a bore they are. Having the chance of beating a better football team in a penalty shoot-out in the opening phase is just ridiculous.
Golden Goal was also an anti-climax and just looks stupid now when you look back at previous tournaments. He should be looking at the diving and technology in general to improve the game.
Fuck that, I'd think twice about even watching a game like that.
An extra point for every 3 goals scored in a match during group stage is the way to encourage attacking play imo.
Infact, that is such a good idea that I have no chance of a job with FIFA or UEFA
Just blew your chances there T man.
Bonus points have worked for Rugby but this has to be the fucking stupidest idea ever. Everybody already hates penalties.
"Celtic is important to me in as much as it's one of the only constants in my life over the years. I have changed and become various things but it is the one constant. Religion, friendships have come and gone, likes and dislikes have come and gone, but Celtic has remained." - Billy Connolly
How about...
no points for a draw.
If teams are level only goals scored count then goals against, head to head etc.
Far too much common sense in this thread to be considered for football presidencies![]()
