Thread: Ozil to Madrid

Real Madrid have announced the signing of rising star Mesut Ozil from Werder Bremen subject to a medical.

Another class act added to the shit load of talented midfielders of Madrid. Would have liked to see him in the Premiership rather than one of the two Spanish clubs tbh

Would rather have seen him go to Barca than Real, find too many players are getting wasted there and moving on within a couple years after not reaching full potential. Look at Robben and Sneijder (good enough to get snapped up by other big clubs, but hardly a success story at Real).

That's what I mean, someone like that should be playing on a weekly basis and as good as he is he won't do that at Madrid or Barca. Spanish football is shit when either of those two aren't playing imo. The Premiership is as strong as it's ever been and so long as City didn't sign him he would have been a stand out player there too.

He won't get a regular game, they should really just loan him to us and pay his wages

Playing at Spurs or Arsenal and the guy would have torn the place apart for sure. Even Liverpool. But Chelsea, Manutd or Man city would waste him, much as Madrid would. Barca would have to sell to play him as well mind you. Other teams to go to would be Valencia, At Madrid etc, but they arent any better off than Weder to be honest.
If Milan get the finger out and start to actually snap up younger talented players to make a bigger impact, Ozil could have done well there, with the likes of Pato up front for him to feed.

If Madrid fancy Loaning us Casillas on the same basis, Barca can lend us Iniesta, Bayern can give us Muller, Arsenal let us borrow Fabregas, barca give us Puyol, then we'd be a cracking team...for 6months

I don't know... I think Mourinho prefers an Ozil-type #10 as opposed to Kaka.

Id rather it too since I watch the epl a lot. Hes a tricky winger but no pushover, the type that do well in englands league, quite similar to the bundesliga in that respect.

I would've rather seen him at Barca tbh than Real or the EPL cunts.
