A lot of tims seem to think we should get along with them because they're Irish and they wear the hoops
Funny considering they're sponsored by a major Israeli firm. Also, 2 of them aren't even doing it right. lern2nazi
Proud we march behind the banner, firm we'll stand behind our men
We will have them free to help us, cheer on the Celtic once again
I've seen their forums that's why I don't like Shamrock Rovers. The pic above confirms my take on them.
Left handed nazi salutes, what an intelligent bunch.
"Friends" lol, they look like comic book nerds dropping a pose.
Guy in the middle with the Timberland T-shirt is wanking a beer bottle...
Well that was an eye opener ,cunts how they all come how from signing on early and catch their wives gettin but fucked of bigfoot
maybe they should join up with this lot, would enjoy each others company
Dublin Rangers Supporters Club
Scum.
Fuck um. Dont even watch LOI anyway so couldnt give a fuck about any "friendships" with them. The only club we have a proper genuine friendship with is St Pauli as far as I'm concerned.
lern2nazi, that cracked me up![]()
Yet there is no affiliation with the two clubs at all.
This whol association with St Pauli completely confuses the hell out of me.
Personally we have a much stronger tie with Barcelona than any other club. Both clubs have played each other many times, we have exchanged players in various ways, accepted each others hospitality at various levels, believe in the same footballing philosophy. Have similar beliefs in regards to society and where each club resides, dealing with Catalan and Scotland in respect to Spain and the Uk. Both clubs also have a majority of the same religious beliefs, yet are very welcoming to any others.
In terms of our club, we have more in common with Barca, but our fans, St Pauli. Especially since nearly every cunt on the planet wears Barca shirts etc. Most people prob think we're just glory hunters cheering for Barca
We have traditionally faced to same discrimination in Scotland that the Catalans have in Spain theres that bit, but apart from that, lets be honest, Barcelona don't really give a fuck about us, we're fun to party with after theyve destroyed us on the pitch, and theyve so many fans world wide (we do too but Barca is one of the top 3 biggest clubs in the world) that its hard to compare it. The difference with the St Pauli affialation is a genuine friendship, when I went there almost all of their fans had celtic scarfs, or half and halfs. Religion doesnt matter, Germany is a protestant country and most St Pauli fans would have been baptised a protestant but considering the culture and fanbase of the club it doesnt matter, religion never comes up.
Maybe I see a better link with St Pauli rather than Barca because Ive been to St Pauli's ground, drank with their fans, and I fit in with them quickly because I love punk music and don't dress like a wee smicker like some Celtic fans do.
Ended up having this debate with hoopymo on msn last night. He see's it your way to, but for me, thats just a fan affiliation. A good one yes, and having never been to st pauli, I can only imagine, and accept the good connection that is there with our fans. But when it coms to club friendships, i lok more at how the two clubs actually interact with us, outwith the fans. Barca were given access to our facilities when they came over two yeas ago, and like wise, we have been offered their facilities in the past when playing other clubs within the region.
It's true that Barca fans don't really give a shit about us. They do to the extent that when we play them they will get along great with us, better than most other clubs, but in general they're probably used to most people bumming them anyway. Whereas St Pauli have a genuine link.
Its funny though, I know loads of English lads who think St Pauli are dead cool and everything, yet dislike Celtic because "their fans just love the IRA init". It seems that it's ok for St Pauli to have strong political links but not us. It's also telling that we're pretty unpopular in the UK (outwith the Irish diaspora) yet get along great with loads of clubs worldwide.
I've said it before and it's still true. It's fine for a club's support to have a strong political voice anywhere, except the UK & Ireland.
