tbf liverpool have only been shit this season, for the deacde i doubt theres much points difference between them and chelski. gerrard is more capable of the roy of the rovers moments but for consistency its lampard all the way for me

I'd go for Henry. He isn't really good enough for Barcelona as it's working out but he was outstanding in a lesser League.

It isn't working out for Henry because he's being asked to play on the left wing and is coming up for 33 this year.
The EPL is a far better league defensively than La Liga, btw.
The only reason Henry may not be good enough now is because the legs have gone, not because he only looked world-class in a "lesser" league.

You make some good points there L.S.F. but surely his legs didn't just go within 3 months! I bet he would still be a star if he went back to Arsenal.
He met his match imo and has failed to team up with so many great players in the one team.

No, they didn't just go in 3 months, but since he's been at Barca, he's been on the decline. He's not as good for France any more either, which suggests that it's nothing to do with teaming up with so many great players, it's to do with him.
He teamed up with great players at Arsenal too. Fabregas is the best CM in the world, IMO. Vieira was a class-act. Pires too was unreal at times.
He'd be a star if he went back to Arsenal... personally I doubt it, but if he did become one again, I bet it'd be because he'll score goals instead of create them, which is his main priority at Barcelona.
BTW, his performance against Villarreal was his best since he's been at Barcelona, so let's see how he gets on this season. There's always reports that he hasn't settled in too well, and doesn't get on perfectly well with Pep.

These players you mentioned were good but I was meaning similar players in his team. Eto'o, Ibrahimavic, Messi, Ronaldinho etc. All thes guys played in the Barca front 3 in the last 5 years or so and have been amazing. Henry make them play worse for me.

Fair enough, but Ronaldinho was never the same after the World Cup in 06, I don't think that's anything to do with Henry, personally.
Messi and Ibra are playing the best football of their careers, by far, and Eto'o had his best season, last season.
I accept Henry's not discovered his Arsenal form (I believe there's good reasons for this), but I really don't think he makes people play worse. He isn't Kirk Broadfoot lol

True and not true. Gerrard has played along side some world class players. Just because he isn't now (well Torres is IMO but anyway...) doesn't mean the Liverpool team has been as shite as it currently is.

See imo, Liverpool have been average at best since they won the Champions league in 04/05, apart from last season... 1 good season in 5 for me they havebeen good... Whereas Chelsea have been pretty good in every season since Abramovich tookover... always going to be ifs and cons with Lampard and Gerrard, i would much prefer to have Gerrard in my side than Lampard though

Gerrard and Lampard are two players who will always be compared to each other, similar roles, both reliable almost all the time, both can score many goals in their own right. But Lampard has a better team to work with as well.
I really hate to say it but the EPL player of the decade has to be Giggs. Between him and Scholes, two of the very few United players I have full respect for. But with my natural bias to not include United players, apart from those two, I have to say Shay Given. Consistently been there and keepers dont get a lot of praise compared to midfielders and strikers.
Shearer is another, even though he only played about half the decade, one of the best strikers of our generation at least.
But for one player, Giggs.
