always had you down as an SDLP voter
i used to go to alot of reds games, my school was just down the road but the standard of irish football is shocking. after tim mc cann and marty quinn left the reds went to shit. remember having to beat ards to stay in the premier league the season after we won it. if the reds had been relegated it would have been tough to come back friom.
Oldest club in Ireland, home of Irish football, Belfast
Ive been a few games, i went to a game against Glentoran at the oval, fucking horrible evil atmosphere. Some buzz though going to the black east, walking through this wee cage tunnel type thing and having bricks and bottles thrown at us from all angles by the huns. The Linfield Cliftonville games are always blood and guts, leg breaker tackles flying in every 5 minutes, quite entertaining![]()
the ones against the crues used to be worse man, north belfast derby and they were all loyalist cunts, on and off the pitch. going to gamwes was actually quite scary.
remember this cunt?
Kirk Hunter (born 2 October 1963 in Belfast) [1] is a retired Northern Irish footballer. Hunter played most notably for Crusaders F.C., initially as a striker, but also as a midfielder. He was notable for his fiery nature on the pitch, and was without a doubt one of the most aggressive players in the history of Irish League football. In just one of his many infamous incidents on the football pitch Kirk was brought to court and sued for a injurious and career-ending tackle on ex-Larne player Paul Murnin in 1992. In another incident Kirk Hunter was sent-off without touching the ball against north Belfast rivals Cliftonville in 1998 after being on the pitch less than 60 seconds. He now plays the bass drum for the Shankill Prod Boys and is going go-karting with Ryan M. Frank Hayes is also an associate of Kirk.
[edit]
Anyone called Kirk Hunter, you just know is a bitter bastard.
Im reading 'political football' about Belfast Celtic at the minute, its good stuff.
Shocking what happened to them.

CLIFTONVILLE'S title ambitions suffered a setback following this draw from their visit to Newry Showgrounds.
The Reds still occupy top spot in the Carling Premiership but their lead has been reduced to a single point following Linfield's defeat of Lisburn Distillery which moved the Blues into second place with a game in hand.
Newry might have opened the scoring as early as the fifth minute when Niall Henderson played Stephen Garrett through to beat John Connolly from 18 yards only for the ball to come back off the right post.
At the other end, on the half-hour mark, only a Danny O'Connor goalline clearance denied Ciaran Caldwell after he almost made the most of a breakdown in communication between Gavin McDonnell and 'keeper Neil Gallagher.
However, the visitors did grab the advantage six minutes from the break after George McMullan converted a spot-kick awarded when referee Adrian McCourt penalised O'Connor for a foul on Liam Boyce.
The Reds might have doubled their lead early in the second half through Caldwell and Chris Scannell while, on 64 minutes, McDonnell came within a whisker of levelling for Newry when his effort from just inside the area clipped the top of the crossbar.
But Newry did equalise on 70 minutes courtesy of Alan Davidson who was perfectly placed to blast home a Garrett cross from the left.
