TWO George McMullan goals helped Cliftonville secure the runners-up spot with this victory at The Oval.
The Reds moved in front on 22 minutes when McMullan knocked home a penalty awarded for a Johnny Taylor trip on Darren Boyce inside the area, a foul which earned Taylor a red card.

And they made it 2-0 on 44 minutes when Kieran O'Connor teamed up with McMullan for the latter to find Ronan Scannell inside the area to finish easily.

McMullan then grabbed his second goal five minutes after the break when he despatched a curling free-kick around the Glentoran wall from distance.

Another page set up by a group calling themselves the "Killowen Young Republicans" promises to "protect the Republican communities from the PSNI, hoods and most of all loyalists." The group's photo album contains numerous images of youths in balaclavas posing with a range of republican flags as well as a handguns and automatic weapons.

Great season for the Reds and unlucky not to be Irish Champs, at least there's Europe to look forward to next season!
