Fairly even i'd say, Scotland have had some legendary figures down the years but Ireland have the better team at the minute.

Over the years Scotland like Dusty was saying and more recent I'd say Ireland.

Historically Scotland but currently Ireland produce far better players.

I'd have Robbie Keane over Kris Boyd, Roy Keane over Darren Fletcher and Damien Duff ahead of Scott Brown.

Maybe a bit biased at the moment having just watched the "Scotland's greatest team of all time" last night, but Scotland.

Scotland up until the early 90's, then Ireland started throwing out a better quality of player and still do now.

    Although they nicked Ray Houghton.

I'd agree that they're even over the years but recently Ireland have produced better players (even though two of them were Scottish born).

Doesn't show up alot of the time for Ireland for me, most Irish fans think he's pretty average

I don't think we're including McGeady when we talk bout the players we've produced. Given, the Keanes, Duff, Doyle, Ireland and the Dunney Monster suffice. McGeady's not even one of our best anyway.

    Doyle's a brilliant player, always gives 110%

On behalf of the country we'd like to thank Scotland for not selecting him as a youth, your own fault really.

I got to all the home qualifying games last campaign, and he was easily our best most matches, you could see how determined he was, while Keane gets all the plaudits, this guy is our unsung hero.

McGeady's nowhere near one of our best players, he rarely even starts

Came on with 15 minutes to go in extra time in Paris, Lawrence gets his game ahead of him.

Some excellent contests here through the years (not including current teams):
