My point is Totti isn't the player he once was. Even in his final season, Zidane was still incredibly good. Look at his performance in the 2006 World Cup.

If Totti was going to the 2010 World Cup would he really have put in the same level of performances Zidane did? No.

Totti was in line for a return to the Italian national team after his performances for Roma this season but Lippi decided to go with the players who the team qualified with. That is why Totti is not going to SA, but pretend to yourself it's because he's retired all you want.

Just ignore the fact Totti said he would play if chosen...

The only thing Totti has on Ronaldinho is longevity. On pure talent, Ronaldinho shits all over Totti.

The Brazilian Ronaldo was also better than Totti.

Lionel Messi at 22 is better than Francesco Totti has ever been. His honours list at such a young age is incredible and his ability is out of this world. It's just a shame than many people will say he's not been doing it for 15 years but instead 4 or 5... to me though that just makes his achievements even more stunning.

Ifs but and maybes thrown in as well as insults to Totti. Wow was Ronadlinho good for a whole 3 years if you are going to break it down over such time periods then why not judge on 90 mins/ one half etc. Ridiculous
