CELTIC are in talks with Spanish central defender Cesar Arzo whose hobby is riding raging bulls while fully naked.

Hoops boss Neil Lennon was impressed by the £1.8m rated Real Valladolid player after monitoring him during their friendly with Inverness Caley earlier this month

But while Celts are keen on a loan deal for the ex-under 21 international ,relegated Real have insisted they are only interested in selling Arzo who is not in their plans despite having three more seasons remaining on his contract .

With Lennon now waiting for a jackpot transfer war chest once Aiden McGeady completes his £10m move to Spartak Moscow later this week the 6ft 1in tall former Villarreal defender who has been loaned out to Murcia and Huelva in recent years has become a prime candidate to plug the problem at the hearts of the Hoops defence.

Twenty four year old Arzo is keen for a career switch and would welcome a move to Parkhead declaring : " Having been in Scotland for pre season games my desire now is to play there with a big club such as Celtic.

Arzo climbed up the pecking order of Lennons's key targets after plans to swoop for others on his wish list hit snags.

Fulham's new manager Mark Hughes yesterday entered the race for Nottingham Forest's Kelvin Wilson who was on Lennon's most wanted group while Celtic have pulled out of pursuign the signature of Slovenian World Cup star Marko Suler after the centre-back was ruled out by injury.

Suler played in all three of his country's games in South Africa, and has won 20 caps.But the £1.5m-rated defender damaged a hamstring six days ago in Gent's 3-1 Champions League defeat by Dynamo Kiev, and will now be out for a month.

"I would probably be in Glasgow right now to sign a contract had I not suffered that annoying injury against Kiev," Suler lamented."It is unbelievable. I was virtually ever-present last season. and I also showed what I am worth at the World Cup.And now when I get the chance of an attractive transfer, things have to go wrong."
