No source (yet), just fell onto the rumour factory floor that he might be the new number 7. Thoughts?

He's got roughly a one in 5 goal ratio in the Premiership, not exactly prolific.

Bit undecided on this one tbh.

few years back, when he was younger and had potential, yes.
    now, no.
AS good a signing as Beattie is.
    We can get better.

Would love him at Celtic, but can't see it happening.

^ Anth, he'd be a much better signing than Beattie. An England international, who scored 14 goals last season, including goals against big teams in Fulham's European run.

And his all-round game is much better than Beattie's.

    Undecided on this one though.

I'd take him BUT only if he was our last hope of a big-ish signing before the 1st September.

no too inconsistent we have sammy for that! seems pretty happy at fulham anyway, he's like their fortune good playmaker just fails at getting the ball in the back of the net the way a striker should

Nope, would not be happy with this. Certainly not with the money his tranfer and wages would be. And his age. And he is not a guy who can score 25 a season, even here. I like him but to go from Bellamy to him would be unacceptable.

Lol did nobody watch him last year? The guy would be the best player in the SPL. There's absolutely no comparison between a fringe England national teamer who scored goals last year on a team which narrowly lost the Europa League final and a guy who couldn't get a game with Stoke. Kenny Miller's not a finisher but he gets loads of goals here... Zamora is an improved version of Miller.

I think he'd be similar to Kamara last season. I'd take him no problem.

you have seen his goals record for the past 2 seasons??? 53 appearances and just 7 goals!! he is not a proven goalscorer, as iv said before hes another fortune he can set them up but hes shit at converting them, we dont need another passenger at celtic if were going to take in a striker then i want one that can actually score

How'd that happen since he scored 8 goals in the Premier League alone last year? He's scored more goals last year than Miller did. And in Europe he was a set up man and almost had a 50% strike rate. Sometimes things "click", for Zamora it happened last year and he got that goalscoring touch. He'd absolutely destroy the SPL if he came here. Bigger, stronger, and faster than Miller and scored more goals in a year than Miller did.

I agree with that, England is a terrible value market pretty much in any case, but for people to suggest that Zamora couldn't score goals here is kind of crazy.

still dont think he would score up here hes more a playmaker!

edit : just after checking the fulham offical site and there stats tally up with mine unless there wrong aswel but im pretty sure he went through a very dry period last season remember watching MOTD and he was taking his chances just couldnt seem to convert them
