Portsmouth have been keen to offload the Nigerian for some time in the hope of raising much-needed funds yet have struggled to find a suitable buyer.
Sunderland have shown an interest while Wigan and Celtic could also come into the equation after making late inquiries.
The 28-year-old was Portsmouth's record buy in 2007 but has become symbolic of a sad era for the club where overspending has cost them dearly.
Utaka has failed to find the form he is capable of over recent seasons and is desperate for a change of scenery to kickstart his career.
The price will help encourage buyers looking for players of Premier League experience - and with the window closing shut.

Again not a quote in sight ,I'm sure the papers and players agents just fling us into the mix to attract intrest
