ARTUR Boruc admits he would "seriously consider" a move to Tottenham Hotspur, but says that he has received no contact from the English Premier League club.
Boruc has been linked with a big-money transfer to Spurs – with reports suggesting the Celtic goalkeeper could be offered to Harry Redknapp's side as part of a deal to send Robbie Keane the other way – but the Polish stop-stopper has stressed he is hADVERTISEMENT
appy at Parkhead.
Asked about the Tottenham link in an interview in his homeland, Boruc said: "Honestly, I have no idea about it. I only knew about this a couple of days ago when the goalkeeping coach told me he had read it somewhere. No-one has told me anything about this officially. If Celtic wanted to sell me, the manager and the board would tell me, but they haven't. Truthfully speaking, I do not believe moving to another club in the winter would be a good idea anyway. Tottenham are very good and a big club, based in London. That would mean I would have to very seriously consider an offer from them. But there is no point bothering about it because there has been no offer."
Meanwhile, Belarus defender Dmitry Verkhovtsov is eager to secure a contract with Celtic after arriving in Glasgow for talks.
The centre-back flew into Glasgow on Sunday night ahead of his proposed move from Belarusian Premier League side Naftan Novopolotsk. The 23-year-old has 12 caps for his country and is said to be available for £500,000. "I want to sign for Celtic as quickly as possible," Verkhovtsov said.
Celtic are also understood to have made an offer for De Graafschap teenager Marko Maletic. The 16-year-old Bosnian spent a week on trial at Parkhead earlier this month and did enough to persuade Celtic to make a £150,000 bid. De Graafschap want £270,000, which they feel they are due under Fifa rules the development of the player over the past five years. De Graafschap director Leen Looyen said: "If the interested clubs don't pay the fee we require, he stays with us."

Looks genuine, he only gave a truthful answer it seems.
Man, feels like OF week.
Does anyone actually buy that newspaper ?
It does include quotes from Boruc. This is a worry, and I would not be surprised to see him go in January. I am certain that one of Brown, Boruc, Skippy, McGeady will go in order to finance any players coming in.
I really wouldn't like to see Boruc go, but some sort of swap deal with Keane would be very hard to turn down, especially with Zaluska waiting in the wings.

Zaluska is a good 'keeper and a very good back-up for us but he is still not up to the standard of the Holy Goalie. If we sold the Holy Goalie then we would have Zaluska and Cervi. Now I am sure they are good 'keepers but there is still no chance I would like to see Artur go.
The EPL is a much better league but as a club, Spurs is a step down. Not many leave Celtic for bigger clubs.
