Of course I'd want McFadden at Celtic.
Absolutely no chance on signing him though. It's SPL stars we're looking at![]()
I voted no, not the type of striker I like, or feel we need, can create but does not offer enough in the way of a goal threat, the odd wonder goal is not enough, I would prefer 10 scuffed shots going in off strikers body parts than one 20 yard rasper......
I would take him in a flash but he wont want to come back to the SPL or the gold fish bowl that is glasgow.
He's not really a Striker though is he? Scotland play him up front because we have so little choice in that department.
He's an attacking midfielder and played Left Mid all season for Birmingham being very much a first team player. This is why we can forget about signing him.
I've always wanted us to go for McFadden, think he would be absolutely brilliant for us.
Agre wae Metro tho a striker he aint, much the same as Fortune.

PICK UP A GUITAR, AND SPIN A WEB OF SOUND'
If he'll play LM/AM, yes.
All hail the Sorcerer of Yokohama!!

Money well spent for one of Scotland's best attacking midfielders imo!Skysports.com understands Celtic and Newcastle are monitoring James McFadden's contractual situation at Birmingham.
The talented Scotland international has a year left on his existing deal and has yet to agree an extension at St Andrews.
McFadden has proven a popular figure in the Midlands since joining Birmingham in 2008 from Everton.
Blues boss Alex McLeish would be loath to lose the talented schemer but could face competition to keep him should Celtic and Newcastle firm up initial interest.
Celtic have long-since admired the player and could test Birmingham's resolve to keep Glasgow-born McFadden with an offer in the region of £3million.
Newly promoted Newcastle are scouring the market for proven top-flight performers and may just see McFadden as an ideal addition.
Would love Faddy up here.
Think he's a great player and would love to have him
We're always linked with him though - hope it works out this time
take him - yes
will we get him - no
Fuckin yes, £3mil would be a fuckin steal.
In a heart beat. Get the man signed!
celtic should be bidding 4 million just to make sure they get him ffs
Not to mention he's a big Tim, so obviously that could have a big say in it.
Based on the wages he'd want (supposed to be on £30k plus) I would not touch him. Too hot and cold for my liking.
McFadden with this man on loan would satisfy me
JOHAN Mjallby insists Celtic still haven't given up hope of persuading Robbie Keane to return to the club.
The Spurs ace hit 12 goals in an impressive six-month loan stint at Celtic last season before going back to London.
But Mjallby, who was yesterday officially unveiled as Neil Lennon's assistant manager, has revealed his boss is still hoping to lure the striker north again.
He said: "Has Neil been speaking to Robbie? Definitely.
"I don't know Tottenham's thinking when it comes to Robbie. He is out of our reach when it comes to buying him. But a loan would be perfect for us."
And Mjallby believes the club. can still attract other players of the calibre of Keane - but only if they are available on loan.
He added: "To buy someone at Robbie's level would be impossible. We don't have that kind of money.
"The only way we could get that kind of player would be to ride our luck and maybe find someone on loan and make sure it's a quality player who is going to give us goals.
"But we have the lure of European football at Celtic. From my own memories it's very important as a player. It's a great opportunity to play against the best and develop."
Meanwhile, Celtic have been told they can land Le Mans utility man Ibrahima Camara on the cheap.
The 25-year-old defensive midfielder - who is on trial at Lennoxtown - is in the final year of his contract at his French club and is up for grabs for around £300,000.
Le Mans spokesman Guillaume Bertel said: "We won't demand an expensive fee. We will be reasonable because he's in the final year of his contract."
