Not Henri if I worried ye

CELTIC have given Guinea star Ibrahima Camara the chance to win a move to Parkhead.

The 25-year-old, who can play in midfield or at full-back, has been handed a trial by Hoops boss Neil Lennon.

Camara, who has 18 caps, is currently with French club Le Mans but they are keen to off-load him after their relegation from the Ligue One.

The Celtic target was born in the Ivory Coast but chose to represent Guinea, where he has played alongside former Hoops star Bobo Balde.

Camara kicked off his career in Italy with Parma before he went on loan to Le Mans, who he joined on a permanent basis three years ago.

He has been one of their top stars before he spent the second half of last season on loan at Nantes.

Versatile Camara is seen as a cheaper and more direct replacement for Cameroon cap Landy N'Guemo, who Celtic have decided to send back to French side Nancy.

Lennon is looking to strengthen his squad and is considering a move for freed Hull City midfielder George Boateng.
The experienced Dutchman was a target for former Hoops boss Gordon Strachan but he snubbed them to join the Tigers two seasons ago.

He is now a free agent and Lennon could renew the club's clubs long-term interest.

Boateng's agent, Barry Silkman, yesterday insisted he has heard nothing new from Celtic.

Silkman said: I haven't spoken to Celtic about George for some time.

Lennon is also continuing to play the waiting game in his move to land Boateng's former Hull team mate Jimmy Bullard.

The Hoops have had a season-long loan bid accepted and are waiting for the player to give the move the expected green light.

The Celtic boss has also held talks with former England defender Sol Campbell but he is waiting to see what Arsenal offer before he makes a decision on his future.

Celtic also have a bid on for Sunderland striker Daryl Murphy and remain in talks with Stoke City over Liam Lawrence.

He is hoping those deals can be concluded and they will join his new boys Charlie Mulgrew and South Korean international Du-Ri Cha.

Meanwhile, Freed Celtic defender Lee Naylor is now being linked with moves to Bolton and Newcastle.
