Skysports.com understands Swindon are hoping to sign Celtic duo Simon Ferry and Paul Caddis.
Swindon have opened talks with Celtic about a double deal for the pair as Danny Wilson looks to bolster his squad.
Ferry enjoyed a loan spell at Swindon last season and Wilson is keen to bring the midfielder back to the County Ground.
Wilson has also held a long-term interest in Caddis and tried to sign the versatile performer during the January transfer window.
Celtic are believed to be willing to let the pair leave as they are well down the pecking order in Neil Lennon's plans.
Swindon are now hoping to reach an agreement with Celtic to sign the young duo as they continue their plans for the new season.
thoughts? i was hoping for Caddis to stay with us
They probably wont get a game anyway, Caddis is a no bad player but Ross Wallace was better than him and he never made it here either.
Caddis is a good player, but he's not getting his chance, would prefer to keep him but if he isn't getting a game, it's only fair. Also he's over 21 so won't even get on the bench anymore so maybe it's best.
Decent club who will probably be pushing for promotion, the two of them should take the move.
I doubt Ferry will ever get a chance for Celtic so let him go and grab his chance, as for Caddis, I'd loan him out to an SPL or Championship/League 1 team for 6 mths to keep him happy. Think he still has a chance at Celtic.
From the daily r*nger :
Meanwhile, Celtic have rejected a bid of £250,000 from Swindon for defender Paul Caddis and midfielder Simon Ferry. Parkhead powerbrokers want around £400,000.
Haha oh wow. I thought we would havw valued Caddis at 750k because of the last year of his contract. Not basically 200k.
