According to yuvalhapoel96 on the GB forum, the Israeli media have reported that Biram Kayal who plays for Maccabi Haifa is on his way to Celtic. Can't find anything on the internet though and there's no source so maybe bullshit. Anyone else heard anything?

Celtic interested in Maccabi Haifa midfielder
Celtic are being linked with a move for Israeli midfielder Biram Kayal, with reports from Haifa claiming the SPL club has already begun talks. A transfer fee of around one million Euros is being quoted in the Israeli press.
Kayal, who has 10 international caps, plays as a defensive midfielder for Maccabi Haifa. The club president was quoted by Israeli media outlet ONE confirming Celtic’s pursuit of the player.
"There is indeed interest from Celtic in Kayal, but they are not the only team interested,” Maccabi president Jacob Shachar said to ONE.
The reports claim Celtic’s representatives met with the player’s agent and the club to discuss a deal. However, no agreement has yet been reached over a transfer fee.
It is thought that Kayal is keen to leave Maccabi and the club will not stand in his way, so long as their asking price has been met. That figure is not thought to be excessive, given that Kayal has only 12 months left on his current deal.
The 22-year old has represented his international team at all levels and played over 30 times for his club last season as they finished second in the Israeli First Division.
Israeli cunt, fukk him . . .
Wouldn't hurt to have another midfielder I suppose, especially at this price. Although, this might mean the end of Crosas... Hopefully not.
I think you'll find it's 'Zionist cunt, fuck him', not Israeli. But anway, on topic-don't know a thing about him but another good DM would be no harm, Brown can't tackle but apparently does well in attacking role for Scotland so at least this would allow him to play that role.
We Are All Georgios Samaras
I was refering to St. Sixtus' post a while ago when he said that he wouldn't want us to have Israeli manager, hence I posted something similar.
Anyway, this could be good piece of business, considering the price as he's entering final year of contract. And after N'Guemo left, we need proper DM.
And Lawwell is now turning to Middle Eastern market... maybe some Al- Naka would be discovered.![]()
We Are All Georgios Samaras
We already have a proper DM in Juarez. I hope this doesn't mean Lennon plans on playing him out of position.
yaaaaaaaaaay another midfielder![]()

CELTIC were last night closing in on yet another summer buy as negotiations began with Maccabi Haifa for the £1.2million signing of Israeli international Biram Kayal.
The capture of the 22-year-old who plays in a holding midfield role, would be Neil Lennon's sixth signing as he gears up for an assault on the SPL championship and a crack at Champions League qualification.
Maccabi Haifa last night confirmed Celtic have made an official approach for Kayal, who has 12 caps.
As Celtic flew back from their pre-season tour of North America, chief executive Peter Lawwell was trying to thrash out the deal ahead of last night's midnight signing deadline for the Champions League qualifier against Braga next week.
Maccabi president Jacob Shaha said: "Celtic have approached us about Biram but they are not the only club interested in him."
Lennon has signed Joe Ledley, Charlie Mulgrew, Cha Du-Ri, Efrain Juarez and Daryl Murphy since taking over the job on a permanent basis. Kayal looks certain to become his sixth recruit and the Irishman isn't stopping there. Meanwhile, Aiden McGeady is losing his race against the clock to be fit to face Braga on Wednesday.
Despite having been sidelined for two weeks with a thigh injury, Hoops boss Lennon hoped to play the winger in the friendly at Lincoln tomorrow.
However, Record Sport can reveal McGeady will not feature against Chris Sutton's side.
Am guessing this means Hinkel will be away. I thought maybe Lenny brought Juarez in as a DM but obviously not if he's chasing this guy aswell.
We've got midfielders coming out our fuckin ears.
